About
Built for the lake that does not sit still.
We built LakeLens because we boat a reservoir, not a pond.
Lake Powell is the first water. The shoreline we learned at a high pool is not the shoreline we run now. A chart drawn at full pool does not move when the Bureau drops the lake twenty feet.
The math is old and public: water surface elevation minus bed elevation. The work is making that number visible on a phone, in a canyon, without pretending it is a navigational aid.
LakeLens is a product of D K Land and Cattle, L.C., the same Utah company behind MotionEdge. Different sport. Same rule: say what the tool is, and say what it is not.
What we will not claim
- Not a navigational aid. Eyes, official charts, and local knowledge win. The app says this on every depth surface.
- Not a survey. Bed packs are public-domain models, cropped for a phone. Credits stay with the pack.
- Not a social network. No required account. Share is device-local. Crew join is later.
